Shaweeeeeeet! Now all we need is to change IWDII to the same engine, can't stand those damned 3rd edition rules...
EDIT: Quick, completely unrelated question (but I can't find anything on it anywhere): how do you post a link, but have the text displayed not be the link address? |

There are probaly easier ways, but for me, I copy and paste the url, then highlight the url and type in my new wording without hitting the space bar! I use underscores between words instead.

Nobody ever heard of the full editor? The quick reply has no controls, but if you click on the "Go Advanced" or the "Post Reply" buttons, you've got easy controls for insertion of pics, videos, formatting text, etc.

If you prefer to post links manually you simply use the URL tags.
In other words: [\URL=link url]Text you want to display[/URL] Except remove the \ in front of the first URL. |

If you want to do it manually, the whole list is at http://www.sorcerers.net/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode
(this is also linked in Posting Rules below the quick reply) |

Vanatar will rise again

Installed the mod this weekend. Looks prety good so far. Not buggy at all. It comes with 12 already made NPCs, 5 in Easthaven, 7 more in Kuldahar, though they are not fleshed out like BG1 NPCs. They make the hack-n-slash of IWD more challenging. You can build your own party by using MP as well. Also, the IWD NPCs mod has been converted to this format as well.
Playing IWD with Dual-wielding, Sorcerers, Barbarians and Half-Orcs just seems right. Landing some heavy duty crits with my 2-Handed Sword wielding Half-Orc Barbarian. Fun times!

Completed the Severed Hand and now I am going to jump to the Expansion. I am not finding bugs so far, which is excellent. This mod is a refreshing facelift for IWD.

So, G3 has been down for nearly a month, and I really want to try out IWD in BG2! Blades, d'ya think you could e-mail me the .zip you downloaded to install it, please? (Assuming you've not deleted it yet...)
Apologies for the slight thread necromancy. |

My sincerest apologies MrMermaid, but I did not save it. Hopefully the link posted at the Pocket Plane will suffice.

This is the first time I heard of this mod. It sounds interesting, but it also seems like you it could be very unbalanced as well.
Are all the BG2 spells in the game now? So you can get Timestop and other spells that were never in vanilla IWD? What about HLAs? Summoning planetars in IWD would be very overpowered even moreso than having planetars in SoA. Does it have proper dual-wielding instead of the simulated dual-wielding that vanilla IWD had? That would mean you could dual-wield two long swords of action+4... There are two in the game so it would be legitimate... Is grandmastery nerfed now? Vanilla IWD had unnerfed grandmastery which was really nice. I would expect the BG2 engine would use the nerfed grandmastery though. |

Also, if you are interested, there's Kulyok's NPC mod from Pocketplane Group giving you a bunch of reasonably interesting NPCs you can pick up, rather than having to make the whole party yourself - it's apparently compatible with IWD-in-BG2, though for some reason I couldn't get it to install properly. Download it and playtest it like me! That's the only way such things can be improved and bugs ironed out. Besides, who wouldn't want to hack their way through the IWD hordes using a Half-Orc Barbarian, or blast fireballs left, right and centre with a Sorcerer?! It seems just so...right.
